The energy, effort, and competitiveness displayed during this year’s Chaparral Basketball tryouts made one thing clear: the future of Puma Basketball is moving in the right direction.


Over the course of two intense days, student-athletes competed, communicated, pushed through adversity, and represented themselves with pride. Our coaching staff wants to thank every player who attended tryouts and competed with passion and effort.

After careful evaluation, we are excited to officially announce the 2026 Chaparral Boys Basketball Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.

To Those Who Competed

Making a basketball team does not define your future as a player or person.

Some of the best athletes develop because they faced disappointment and chose to respond with discipline, toughness, and growth. If you did not make a roster this time, keep working. Stay in the gym. Improve your skill set. Strengthen your body. Study the game. Most importantly, continue building your character and work ethic.

There will be additional opportunities ahead, including fall tryouts later this year. Player development never stops, and neither should your belief in what you can become through hard work and commitment.

This is the beginning of a new chapter for Chaparral Basketball. Our program is committed to building a culture centered around accountability, toughness, teamwork, energy, and player development.

🏀 REGISTRATION OPEN: SPRING OPEN GYM & TRAINING Spring Open Gym & Training Registration Now Open Chaparral Pumas Basketball is officially opening registration for our upcoming Spring Open Gym and Training sessions for returning players . This is an opportunity to get back in the gym, build momentum, and continue developing within the Chaparral program as we prepare for the next season. 🔥 What to Expect Our spring sessions are designed to focus on: Skill development and fundamentals Conditioning and game readiness Competitive open gym play System installation and team concepts Players will be challenged to improve daily while competing in a structured, high-energy environment. 🧠 Who Should Attend All returning Chaparral players (Varsity, JV, Freshman) Players committed to improving and preparing for next season Athletes ready to compete and develop within the program Chaparral fields teams at multiple levels, providing development opportunities for players at every stage of the program. ✅ Registration Details Registration is now open All returning players are expected to sign up Additional details on schedule and start dates will be provided after registration
